Introduction
Welcome to the Leslie F. Malpass Library. You are here because your success in this class and beyond is dependent on finding information. In libraryland, we call this "information literacy." An information literate student can recognize when information is needed and has the ability to locate, evaluate, manage, and use effectively the needed information.
Objectives

Assignment
Critical Book Review with Research Component: Begin by summarizing the book Nickel and Dimed: On (Not) Getting By in America and do a critical analysis of how the author’s experiences compare with the lived experiences of African American communities; Conduct some library research for information on how the economic crisis in American affects people of African descent. Include information on how the conditions Ehrenreich describes reflect your own life and the lives of people that you know.
