We live in the Information Age. Information is available from a number of sources: Books, Peer Reviewed Journals, journals that are not very reputable (i.e. Predatory journals) and many different Websites. Google searches yield thousands of results, but do not rank them for quality. The CRAAP test (Meriam Library, 2010 based on Orenic, 2008) can be used to evaluate information. CRAAP stands for: Currency, Reliability (or Relevance), Authority, Accuracy and Purpose (or Point of View). The articles listed in the box below, from the Chronicle of Higher Education, address issues related to truth on the Internet.
