Welcome

Welcome to Malpass Library and Western Illinois University Libraries. I ave created this guide to help you find research that meets the requirements of the assignment below. If you need further assistance, you can contact me at jp-stierman@wiu.edu. Good luck.

Research Assignment

With a partner, teacher candidates will use peer-reviewed research regarding instructional strategies to support students with high incidence disabilities.  Strategies must be based on one of the following (preselected by the teacher candidates): reading comprehension or fluency; writing fluency or expression, math calculation or application; cognitive learning strategies, or social skills.  Candidates should find at least 2 articles supporting the use of the instructional strategy as a means of teaching diverse learners in inclusive settings.  All strategies should be appropriate for diverse secondary-level students and support the inclusion of students with high-incidence disabilities in the general education setting.
