East Japan Earthquake
This guide contains links to information resources related to the East Japan earthquake & tsunami, which struck the area off of Sendai and Honshu Japan March 11, 2011. It contains links to general information on earthquakes and tsunamis, as well as links to information that deals with the East Japan earthquake and tsunami. The site also includes links to resources about Japan from the U.S. State Department, Embassy of Japan and other government agencies. Many different place names are being used to refer this earthquake, including Honshu and Sendai; the U.S. Geological Survey is calling it the Tohoku Earthquake. A colleague has informed me that the Japanese press is calling it the East Japan earthquake.
