You may need a journal for your work, and you will want to see if the library has it. You can use the journal search feature to see if we have a journal, what form its in , and what issues we have.
1. To search the journals, click "Journal Search" at the top of the page.
2. On way to search for journals is by simply entering words from the journals title or topic area. You can also search using the ISSN International Standard Serial Number of a journal. The ISSN identifies all resources that are published continuously. Either way, the search will deliver only journal titles in the results that match the term you use. If the ISSN is used, on that specific title will be listed.
Suppose that you want journals about designing cars. Type the title "Automotive Engineering" into the search box and you get results for that journals on that topic, including whether the journal is available online. Using the exact title will give the most specific results. But if you do not know the specific title, try searching words on the topic you want .

3. The Journals by Category list is another place to focus your topic when you do not know exactly what journal you want. The categories list the all the journals the library owns in alphabetical order and broken into categories and subcategories. Here, the category Engineering and Applied Sciences has four sub-categories. One of these is the subcategory Engineering which is broken down further into specific areas related to engineering such as Automotive Engineering.
4. Finally, the results in this case give us the International Journal of Automotive and Mechanical Engineering. The journal fits the topic of car design. Notice the journal is available online so it can be accessed from anywhere with an internet connection. We could have found this by either searching or browsing the categories.
