Renewal Steps

Renew your own I-Share books online.

We highly recommend using a computer to do this! On many phones it isn't even possible, and even the ones that allow it do not make it easy.

1. As with WIU books, login to My Account from the library webpage or, if you're already inside WestCat/I-Share, go to the top right corner.

2. When you go to "My Account" the default for the left column is always "All Institutions," and the items showing under "Checked Out" will be from WIU, as in the example below.

3. Change the left column heading from "All Institutions" to "Has Activity," and the column will shrink to show only those schools from whom you have books or requests in process.

4. Below I've selected Millikin University, so the book under "Checked Out" is theirs. Note the "Renew" option. If I wanted to renew a book from University of Illinois (the next one in the column), then I'd need to select it to see and renew the book checked out from UIUC. Yes, renewal is one library at a time.
