Computer Science Associations

Professional computer science organizations can be great sources of information on computer science topics. While much of the content is not available to non-members, the sites do contain valuable information, and sometimes free articles. Here are a few examples:

ACM: Association for Computing Machinery

ACM is a computing society that delivers resources to advance computing as a science and a profession. 

AAAI: Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence

From its website, AAAI is "a nonprofit scientific society devoted to advancing the scientific understanding of the mechanisms underlying thought and intelligent behavior and their embodiment in machines."

IEEE Computer Society

This is another useful computer society web page that contains some free information.

This site is another great source of information on governmental research projects in computer sciences.

This page, from ACM, provides a great deal of information for students planning on majoring in computer science. It includes areas about various fields of study, job outlook and online academic programs.
