Law Review Commons
The Law Review Commons provides acess to an openly available collection of law reviews and legal journals in a format that can be easily browsed and searched. It contains both current issues and archival content spanning over 100 years.

A collection of in-depth, authoritative reports on a wide range of political and social-policy issues (1923 - Present).

U.S. Government Accounability Office (GAO) reports
The Government Accountability Office (GAO) issues reports and and provides testimonies to Congress, federal agencies, and the public. They provide non-partisan, timely and fact-based information to improve government operations and save taxpayers money. Once at the GAO subject page, one can also do a keyword search using the upper right box. Use quotation marks around phrases!

Congressional Research Service reports (CRS site from Spring 2018 & forward)
Congressional Research Service (CRS) provides Congressional committees and Members with timely, objective, and authoritative research and analysis, regardless of political party affiliation.
Congressional Research Service Reports (UNT site)
The University of North Texas Library developed a project to archive Congressional Research Service reports that they received from a variety of sources before they were made publicly available by an act of Congress. Their site contains over 20,000 CRS reports from 1965 to 2019 on a wide variety of topics. Reports can be browsed by topic. The archive ends in January, 2019, when the CRS.gov site became active.
Congressional Research Service reports from "every CRS report"
A site that provides access to over 15,000 CRS reports from a number of sources, including CRS.gov and the University of North Texas. It was developed by a group called Demand Progress.

Access World News
Access World News is a comprehensive resource that includes a variety of news publications from nearly 200 countries worldwide. These sources include major national and international newspapers, as well as local and regional titles as well as newswires, blogs, web-only content, videos, journals, magazines, transcripts and more. Access World News is updated daily to keep students informed of current issues and events, and it includes deep archives that provide background information on important topics, enabling students to trace an issue or event over a period of time to help foster critical thinking skills.

The Illinois budget summary from the Illinois Office of Management and Budget, a unit of the Governor's office.
Illinois Office of Management and Budget
The Illinois Office of Management and Budget prepares the Governor's annual state budget request and provides the Governor with information on the availability of funds and the allocation of those funds to agency programs. It also issues general obligation and Build Illinois bonds, manages the state's capital program, analyzes state agency programs and budgets and evaluates personnel and operating needs. The major areas of review are education, health and social services, public assistance, debt management, public safety and the environment.
Illinois Comptrollers Office
The Office of the Illinois Comptroller maintains the State’s central fiscal accounts and ordering payments into and out of state funds.

A central website that lists all state agencies by name and subject and provides links to their websites.
