Welcome to the WIU Libraries QR Code Scavenger Hunt

Step 1: Be sure you have installed a QR code reader on your mobile device.

We recommend the Barcode Scanner app for Android devices.

We recommend the QR Reader app for iOS (iPhone) devices.

Step 2: Use the QR code reader app on your mobile device to scan the first game piece to the left of this guide. Go to the URL that displays.

Step 3: Register for an account (this is free).

Step 4: Print out the "QR Hunt Task List" located to the left of this guide.

Step 5: Start completing tasks
Some tasks will have you simply scan a code and watch a short video about a department of the library, other tasks will have you locate something in the library, such as a book. 

Helpful Tips

• Plan your route for finding everything ahead of time, otherwise you will be going to the same location many times. 
• Use the blank space on the task list to write down the call number before finding the book in the library. 
• Please use headphones when watching videos. Headphones are available for checkout in the Digital Commons.
