1. First go to wiu.edu/libraries and click article/databases

2. Next, select a database to search for articles

3. Next, search for your topic in the search box

Tips for better search results:

  1. Limit publication dates for more credible results (2001-2016 Recommended)
  2. Be specific with search
  3. Limit to full text articles for full articles only
  4. Limit to peer reviewed (scholarly) articles
  5. Limit by location
  6. Limit results by specific subject
  7. Find databases specific to class (For example, when searching for articles regarding Sigmund Freud, look for articles within the PsycInfo Database)
  8. Search within all databases for more help
