Finding Illinois Bills and Laws

Illinois Public Acts are session laws passed during a particular session of the Illinois General Assembly. 

One can browse or search the Illinois Public Acts below e.g.  searching Food Stamps will generate a list of Illinois Public Acts that have been passed relating to Food Stamps

1. To search the Public Acts for the current session
2. Go to the Illinois General Assembly Page
3. Click search Click on Public Acts (this will search the current session)
4. Click Search Public Acts at the top
5. Enter keywords like Food Stamps or Unemployment Or Enter Number

To search for earlier congressional session

1. Go to the Illinois General Assembly Page
2. Click search Click on Public Acts
3. Click Search Public Acts/Leg. From Previous General Assemblies
4. You can Search both the Public Acts AND the Legislation and laws from here.
5. Choose the General Assembly (session of congress)
6. In the table row for Public Acts or Legislation and Laws click Search
7. Enter keywords like Food Stamps or Unemployment 
8. Or Enter Number
