The National Association of Geoscience Teachers works to improve earth science education at all levels, inform society of the geosciences and its importance to society, disseminate research on geoscience education and promote its member's professional growth.

The National Council for Geographic Education works to improve the status and quality of geography teaching and education by conducting and disseminating research, providing professional development and curriculum resources, and advocating for geographic education in schools.
