A collection of maps from the Library of Congress' American Memory project. The maps in this collection primarily relate to United States history, but it also includes maps for other areas of the World.

Revolutionary War Era Collections

American Revolution and its Era

Rochambeau Map Collection
A collection of manuscript and printed maps used by Jean Baptiste Donatien de Vimeur, comte de Rochambeau during the time that he was commander in chief of the French expeditionary army during the Revolutionary War.

World War I Maps

World War I Maps & Photos
McMaster University has a collection of trench maps from World War I that are available online. While many of the maps deal with France & Belgium, there are also maps of other regions.
Summary of Operations in the World War
A digital collection of maps from the Perry-Castañeda Library Map Collection that were included in the the book series Summary of Operations in the World War that was published by the American Battle Monuments Commission in 1944.
World War I Maps
A digital collection of maps and atlases available from the University of Illinois Library that were published before, during and after World War I.

World War II Maps

World War II Military Situation Maps
A collection of digital maps with troop positions from June, 1944 through July, 1945. Later maps are accompanied by G-3 reports that give information on troop positions from March to July, 1945.
World War II Newsmaps
The University of North Texas has a digital collection of World War II Newsmaps. Newsmaps were published by the War Department throughout the second World War. They contain maps of conflict areas, summaries of military action and photographs of troops and equipment. They were issued to military bases, government and civilian groups that were working on war-related projects, and some Depository Libraries. They were also sent to factories involved in war production.
Army Map Service Maps, Perry Castañeda Library Map Collection
The Perry Castañeda Library Map Collection has digitized maps produced by the Army Map Service. In some cases, these maps were developed during World War II. The collection includes maps of regions, countries and cities, as well as detailed topographic maps of some countries. Some of these maps are also available in the WIU Libraries Map Collection.

This collection from Texas Tech University contains over 1500 maps of Vietnam and southeast Asia, including some digital maps.

The WIU Libraries Map Collection (4th Floor, Malpass Library) has Army Map Service maps of Vietnam (1:50,000) and the following Vietnamese cities:
