Journals

To see if WIU has access to articles from a specific journal, look for the journal title in our journal list linked below:

Find Journals at WIU

Inter-Library Loan

If you need access to books or articles not available through WIU Libraries, you can request a copy of the article electronically through Interlibrary Loan (ILL).

Find It @ WIU

When you are looking at search results in some databases, you may notice the Find it! button. You must click on it to see whether or not we have an article.

Example of an article that is available at WIU:

Full Text:  An online version that you can print off; just click on the Go button.

Holdings:  A print version.  It says we own 1986-2003, which includes the year you need.  The citation in Soc Abs is all you need to find the article on the 3rd floor shelves.  Journals are shelved by title, in this case Journal of Cross-Cultural Gerontology. Then use the date and page numbers listed in the Soc Abs citation.

Example of an article that we do not have immediate access to here at WIU.  You would need to request a copy through Interlibrary Loan:

Art Article Databases and Indexes

These databases focus on the fine arts and index (aka collect and sort) many magazines, journals, and newspapers that publish articles on fine arts topics.

Other Article Databases of Possible Interest

These databases don't necessarily focus on the fine or visual arts, but contain some articles about fine arts topics. Some are multidisciplinary (meaning they cover many different areas of interest) and some are from disciplines that overlap with art history (history, other humanities).
