Although the "Basic Search" option might sound easier to use, it isn't. The Advanced Search screen gives you more control over and flexibility with your searching. In the image below, notice the following:
- You are given two search boxes (rows) automatically but can add as many rows as needed with "Add a Row."
- To the right of each search box is a drop-down menu that lets you target your search. Instead of finding your words just "Anywhere", you can require that they appear in the Abstract, Main Subject terms, Author, or other search fields (areas of the record).
- There is a quick limit box for Peer Reviewed articles. If you have been told to find articles, keep this limit on.
