Previous example notwithstanding, most articles will be available electronically in a database. When you click on a database from the SFX screen, you'll be taken to the publication page. This page provides basic information about the journal, as well as methods for searching for your article. Here's some information from the publication screen in Project Muse:
In many databases, you can either browse or search for your article. To browse, use your citation information to locate the volume and issue where your article appears. Once you're in the correct issue of the journal, find your article among the others in the list.
Searching is often simpler. Just type your article's title into the search box and click "search" or "go." Below, I've searched for an article called "Speaking with a forked tongue" in Project Muse.
