ENG 280: Migration (Young)

Tips on finding three book sources for the migration assignment.

ENG280 Migration Assignment

Welcome, ENG280 students completing the migration assignment.

PLEASE CONSULT YOUR ASSIGNMENT FIRST. As the librarians understand it, your assignment has two parts that need to be integrated:
  1. Interviewing a relative
  2. Gathering information sources, like books

The relative you are interviewing will be from a specific location or locations, but the sources can range from general information on the geographical location all the way to really specific local historical information found through books, articles, or websites.

The library assignment requires three "sources."
  1. One "source" can be background information scanned from a reference book, which cannot be checked out.
  2. The other two sources, if books, need to be checked out from WIU Libraries or through IShare. eBooks can be used like the print books, with PDFs saved and the ebook version cited.

This guide offers lists of helpful reference books as well as good words to use when searching WestCat/I-Share.
