Using Endnote: Exporting References

A guide to using EndNote online, a cloud-based program that can be used to organize references and create citations.

Exporting References from EndNote

To export references from EndNote:

1. Log into EndNote.

2. Click on Format and then Export.

3. Choose which references to export using the pull-down menu next to the word References:

4. Choose an Export Style. RefMan RIS is compatible with EndNote and other bibliographic software programs.

5. Click Save. A text file will be generated that can be saved to a disk. This file can be imported into EndNote and other software programs or opened when needed. It is also possible to e-mail or print the results.
