The abstract is a one-paragraph summary of your thesis. Follow the guidelines set by your department, but in general, it should be between 200 and 500 words, and it should include the following information:
Background (3-5 sentences)
Methods (1-2 sentences)
Results (1-2 sentences)
Conclusion (1-2 sentences)
